The initial phase of the programme of will take place in all 19 secondary schools in the Ashfield, Bolsover and Mansfield districts between May and July.
Each team of students taking part will be asked to devise a brand new marketable product that offers a viable business proposition and has a positive impact on the environment. This includes the development of a complete business model, prototype product, marketing plan and advertising plus complete business, financial and marketing plans.
Out of some 4000 students taking part in this stage, only 95 will move on to the next round, forming 19 winning teams (one team of 5 from each school). These 19 teams will continue to develop their idea into the coming rounds.

2. July 2010 – Pitching & Presentation Workshops
The 19 teams of five students attend a district workshop to support their pitch and presentation. Their final presentation will be filmed at the end of the day and will be shown at the Trade Fair Final on 21st October.

• Mansfield schools (x7) – Wednesday 14th July
• Ashfield schools (x7)– Thurs 15th July
• Bolsover schools (x5) – Friday 16th July
3. Thurday 21st October – Trade Fair Final
At this event open to the public - including students’ families - each of the 19 teams will have a trade stand and the event judges will circulate during the day to select the winners. Different judges will be judging different categories.

4. Wednesday 17th November – Enterprise Oscars Night
The long awaited results will be announced on this special night, hosted by LEO. Students truly feel the sense of occasion as they take part in this fitting end to their months of hard work and commitment. Some will go home winners, some not – but all will leave at the end of the night with a real-life experience in the world of enterprise and business.
