STOP PRESS: “We’re really excited about our latest project - a core skills training programme tailored to fit with an Employability Programme for individuals with homelessness, mental health or substance misuse issues in their background. The programme is proving enormously successful in preparing these individuals for work and, six months into the project, the success rate of graduates into voluntary roles or paid employment is extremely encouraging.”
Step Ahead’s proprietor, Carol Hall, has over 12 years experience on management committees and for 5 years was responsible for a community leadership training programme a skills based programme designed to build relevant skills and encourage participation in the community. A Parent Governor for 5 years and, as part of this role, she has taken an active part in the Extending Services in and around Schools in Nottinghamshire initiative since September 2006.
