Help for start-up and new businesses

Bizfizz is a programme designed to help local people to realise their full potential.

The scheme is available to help people in the local communities that have a passion they want to pursue that may ultimately lead to the creation of a business. 

This benefits both the individual and the local community through the generation of wealth and, potentially, jobs.

The support is provided through a tried and tested programme, developed by the Civic Trust and National Economics Foundation, called ‘BizFizz’.

Central to the programme is the ‘BizFizz Coach’ who works in the heart of the local community, providing free, confidential and professional business advice to local people on a ‘one-to-one’ basis.

The service is client-led with the ‘BizFizz Coach’ responding to customer needs to help them reach their full potential. The consultation process may or may not lead to the creation of a business.

The ‘BizFizz Coach’ is supported by a panel of local people whose background, expertise and local know-how brings a further level of support to clients.

‘BizFizz Coaches’ operate in clearly defined communities as follows:

• Shirebrook
• South Normanton and Pinxton
• Warsop
• Mansfield Woodhouse
