Selling to the Public Sector

The public sector – the government, local councils, the health service, police, fire brigade etc – place a huge amount of business with private companies. One of the key aims of LEO is to help local businesses in Ashfield, Mansfield and Bolsover, win their share of this business.

The Procurement Project aims to provide support and advice to local businesses interested in selling to the public sector.

In addition to one-to-one support, LEO is organising group seminars and ‘meet the buyer’ workshops to help local businesses navigate their way through the public sector tendering processes.

LEO’s Public Sector Procurement specialists are happy to meet with local businesses to identify any challenges, barriers and issues to doing business with the Local Authorities and even where a business is already selling to the Public Sector we may be able to help you increase the number and value of contracts that you are awarded.

Networking and Collaboration

The procurement team is also working to create a local Supply Chain Network to meet the supply demands of the public sector.

This Network will have the opportunity to bid for contracts as a collaborative group enabling SME’s to tender for higher value contracts by offering a one-stop-shop for the Public Sector procurers.

The Network aims to improve the competitive advantage of SMEs within the region and the combination of talents and competencies can help them to win new business.

A collaborative effort can provide a tender from an organisation the size of a corporation but with the flexibility of a much smaller business. News - xisting
