Coach helps 100 clients
Paul Hastings, the Shirebrook BizFizz Coach, has now helped 100 clients. Wayne Glasby was the 100th person to visit Paul and he has now launched his business MV Catering to provide outside catering for all sorts of occasions.
Wayne had 10 years local experience as a qualified butcher when, in November 2007, an opportunity to run his own business presented itself. A local businessman who ran a successful and well respected outside catering business announced his retirement and Wayne immediately decided that he would like to buy the equipment and run his own outside catering business.

He was referred to Paul Hastings by local retailer Jen Wilson and, as a result received help and advice regarding premises, health and safety, marketing and funding. Paul was also able to put Wayne in touch with the Prince’s Trust who were able to provide Wayne with free support to produce a business plan, which led Wayne successfully obtaining a significant amount of funding to help start his business.
“I have been fortunate to get a lot of practical free help, advice and support in getting my business off the ground,” said Wayne. “I am grateful for the encouragement of local people and am very excited about my new business and the future prospects”.
Wayne has now started trading and is taking bookings for outside catering. His company – MV Catering - works under the motto of “big enough to cater, small enough to care”.
MV Catering can provide outside catering for all occasions. Wayne can be contacted on 01623 844164 or 07855 421969.
