LEO Roars at ‘Really Useful Show’
Local business support agency LEO gets ready to launch its first Really Useful Show, Homes & Lifestyle Fair at Field Mill on Sunday 6th June from 11am-4pm.
Over 100 local businesses are gathering together to create the biggest ever event of its kind in Mansfield, to celebrate and showcase the many and diverse businesses, retailers and services ‘home grown’ in the Ashfield, Bolsover and Mansfield districts.
Businesses such as beauticians, welders, wedding gown makers, photographers, electricians, entertainers, sports coaches, gardeners and caterers will have stalls, displays and demonstrations offering visitors the chance to browse or buy – or simply ‘fill your phonebook’ for a later date.
Members of the LEO team look forward to a unique day at Field Mill with Sammy the Stag and over 100 local businesses.
Plenty of the businesses will be offering activities for all the family - including face painting, inflatables, mountain biking, golf and a Sammy the Stag penalty shoot out – with two performances of an exclusive fashion and bridal showcase and a musical medley by the Mansfield Youth Theatre.
Each one of the 110 business taking part in the day has been supported by LEO since it started in 2006.

“We’re extremely proud to boast about giving support and advice to well over 2000 local people since we started operating,” said John Hudson, LEO Programme Director, “Our team of six Enterprise Coaches and three Business Advisers has helped to create around 300 new businesses locally which in turn has resulted in 700 new local jobs – that’s a fantastic achievement that our Really Useful Show is here to celebrate.”
