The Mansfield & Ashfield Business Exchange Exhibition this year features Meet the Buyer a partnership between NBV the 9 Nottinghamshire Councils, LEO, Nottinghamshire Police Authority, Ashfield Homes and Nottingham City Homes.
The event is in two sections the first is a presentation Ten Top Tips to Tendering by Larch Consulting. Regular timely payment and formalised contract arrangements are two of the reasons why local authorities and other public sector clients help you sustain and grow your business. In this short, sharp session, they will answer some of the most common questions, such as:
• Where do I find out about opportunities?
• How do I get started?
• What sort of documents do I need?
• How do I complete a questionnaire?
• How do I win a competitive tender?
• Who can demystify all the jargon?
• Where can I find more help?
The presenter Lucy Jeynes is an expert who has helped hundreds of businesses win and grow their work in the public sector.
The second section is Meet the Buyer an opportunity to have a 10 minute 1-1 meeting with a maximum of 2 buyers.
The 1-1 sessions will bring buyers and suppliers together. One of the key objectives is to make it easier for businesses to find out about how local authorities buy their goods and services. This should enable businesses to focus their sales efforts in the most cost effective manner.
The organisations being represented by buyers are:
Ashfield District Council, Bassetlaw District Council, Bolsover District Council, Broxtowe Borough Council, Gedling Borough Council, Mansfield District Council, Newark & Sherwood District Council, Nottingham City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, Rushcliffe Borough Council, Nottinghamshire Police Authority, Ashfield Homes and Nottingham City Homes.
To obtain your 1-1 appointments you must book a place at the Ten Top Tips to Tendering presentation using the attached booking form clearly stating your interest in having 1-1 appointments, the two buyers you wish to meet and the product/s you wish to discuss by Friday 10th July 2009
