Social Enterprise Grant Funding Available

Individuals, community groups and social enterprises based in the Ashfield, Bolsover and Mansfield areas are being invited to apply for GAP (Growth, Abundance and Prosperity) funding.

The funding which is available from the Alliance for Enterprise is offered to help people develop a social enterprise which will benefit their community such as training schemes, childcare, after school clubs, healthcare services, arts and crafts ventures and recycling and environmental businesses.

Commenting on the funding Neil Daly, Third Sector Business Development Officer at the Alliance for Enterprise said: “Our goal is to help create and sustain social enterprises that will improve communities and the health and welfare of people by running successful businesses which meet community and social needs.”

Successful applicants will receive financial support to unlock the potential of a new idea, to address a market opportunity or to develop new services and products – to a maximum of £5k.

The application deadline is 01/12/2008
