Recruitment and training
LEO is offering local businesses looking to expand and those that are planning to relocate to the area the opportunity to Make the Connection to a seamless support service for their recruitment and training requirements
Making the Connection is a team of specialist account managers who will work with businesses that need to recruit and or train large numbers of staff.
Bringing together the resources and expertise of Jobcentre Plus, Learning Skills Council, Alliance Sub-regional Strategic Partnership, Making the Connection provides an easy-to-access ‘one-stop-shop’ for everything that companies need in the way of recruitment and training.

The team will support recruitment drives by providing application guidance and completion together with pre-screening of candidates and will also organise recruitment days as necessary.
The account managers will also help identify the skills a business requires and will work with local colleges and training providers to ensure that the training required is available and will provide employers with information on the availability of subsidised employment and training schemes.
Making the connection offers the potential of considerable cost savings to employers while, at the same time, helping local people by linking them with the training they need to qualify for the available jobs in the district.
